Models are good at striking a pose. But to capture the most stunning shots, they need guidance. So the best photographers are not statues. They’re bundles of energy. They’re always talking, moving, and shaping the image.

In this Hegre photographic workshop video, you’ll see how Petter does this. He uses his body to demonstrate the next pose, while constantly guiding the model with his verbal instructions. He’s never sitting still. And is rarely quiet.

You’ll also notice how he often shows the camera to the model. This is to help encourage and inspire her by showing her just how spectacular she’s looking.

So what if you’re not a budding photographer? Well, you don’t need to think about technique. You can just enjoy her sexy stockings and suspenders…

I really like the BTS videos you do. Watching interaction and direction helps me appreciate the work of the model and Petter. It also makes the work more real and authentic and therefore creates a greater connection between artists and audience. I realize they are not easy or comfortable to produce, but please do more of these!

Some great posing in this video, oh and Cindy does a great job as well xD - I just love it when you see a great smile like this, you just can't help but smile yourself every time she does <3 - One of the best things about these BTS videos is that you get a genuine sense of the model's personality and the interaction between the photographer and the model - Great work to the both of you :)

Cindy has such a lovely, laughing, smiling face - I'd love to see a much higher percentage of those kind of facial expressions rather than the dull, bored looks that seem to dominate the final posting. When she smiles or laughs, she becomes so much more accessible, more tangible, more feminine. I would like to see the photo shoots move from good to BEST! She had fun at times and most of that was NOT captured for the viewing audience.
